You deserve to be heard, understood, and supported for who you are. At Cultivate Counseling, we specialize in active listening. We promise never to judge or criticize you. Instead, we will strive to understand you to meet your needs. We will help you identify your goals based on what you truly need, and we'll work together to help you achieve them! You deserve a therapist that will show up for you and prioritize your growth.

I'm Kimberly Coon, MA., LPCC, MFTC; I specialize in working with individuals, couples, and families who are burdened with the task of repairing relationships or otherwise overcoming life's many unexpected challenges. Let me help carry your burden through empathy, compassion, and collaboration and open the door to self-actualization. Just as plants grow and thrive with proper amounts of sun and water, humans also achieve maximum potential under the right circumstances. That process begins with the warm and welcoming space my practice provides for many. No matter what type of wall you have constructed around yourself, I am here to help you find a way through it. I am reminded each day of the resilience of the human spirit as I work with clients and see them break through their walls. It is such a gift to witness that resilience come alive. I would be honored to come alongside you as we begin navigating the road to your best life. I am ready to help you take those first steps towards rediscovering your authentic self.

  • What are your specialties?
I specialize in a trauma informed and attachment based therapy approach. I work with individuals and relationships using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for individuals and couples, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) with individuals. I also specialize in using an intensive format as an alternative to weekly sessions. Check out my services page for more details or schedule a consultation to learn more!
  • How many sessions should I expect to have?
The number of sessions varies greatly by individual. Typically treatment lasts at least 10-12 sessions, but some clients prefer long term care and see the same therapist for years. We can discuss what would work best for you in our consultation call!
  • Do you take insurance?
No. However, I am able to take HSA cards or you may be able to submit a receipt to your insurance for reimbursement. Check with your insurance provider to see if that is an option.
  • How much do you charge?
Our price is $150 for a standard 50-minute session, both for individual and couples. We also offer longer sessions upon request. If you are in financial need we also offer limited reduced fee sessions for couples and individuals. Contact us to learn more.
